Bill Anthony Rios, age 34, and his son Andrew Anthony Rios, age 3; both of Lake Placid, Fl. was fatally injured in an auto accident May 20, 2009 in Highlands County, Fl. Bill and his family moved to Lake Placid, Fl. 2 years and seven months ago from New York City. Bill born March 30, 1975 in New York City, NY and Andrew was born June 3, 2005 in New York City, NY. Bill was as a locksmith and gunsmith, being employed by the State of Fl. at the Department of Corrections, in Desoto County, Fl. as a key control coordinator. He was a member of the Jr. Fire Department, in Coram, N.Y. prior to moving to Lake Placid. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to dance. He was a very personable individual, always making friends and building upon that friendship. He loved spending time with his family. Andrew was a typical three years old, doing the things that a typical three old would normally do. Andrew was also a special three year old. He loved his daddy and mommy and his grand parents and his sister. He too enjoyed fishing and doing things with his with his daddy. He also had his daddy s friendly nature. Andrew brought joy and happiness into the hearts and lives of everyone who came into contact with him. Bill and Andrew leave to mourn their passing, Bill s beloved companion and Andrew s mother, Omayra Bodon, Lake Placid, Fl. Bill s four daughters and Andrew s sisters, Gabriella Rios, Tatiana Bodon, Kyana Bodon, and Brianna Bodon, all of Lake Placid, Fl. Bill s sister and Andrew s aunt Annette (Kevin) Hoyt, Long Island, NY. also Bill s father and mother, and Andrew s paternal grandparents, William and Nerieda Rios, Bronx, NY., and Andrew s maternal grandparents, Roberto and Migdalia Rodriguez, Long Island, NY. Visitation will be conducted from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 1:00PM from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, Fl.
