DeSoto- Beverly M. Williams Bishop, 57, of Arcadia, Florida passed away on May 2, 2013. Beverly was born February 24, 1956 in Arcadia and hasbeen a lifelong DeSoto County resident. She worked as a convenient store clerk in town, for many years. Beverly's pride and joy were her children and grandbabies. She loved cooking and baking for them and making dresses for her granddaughters. Beverly was a proud mother who once loved to cheer for her daughter, April, as she competed in barrel racing. Beverly enjoyed gardening with her late husband, Cliff, and spending as much time as she could with her entire family. Beverly will be deeply missed by so many. Beverly is survived by her mother, Marie and stepfather, William Hubbard, of Arcadia, FL, son; Johnny (Hope) Williams, of Grovetown, GA, daughter; April White, of Arcadia, FL, brother; Ronald Williams of Grovetown, GA, sisters; Barbra Peck and Debra Wilson, both of Grovetown, GA, Beatrice "BB" Weser, of Pinellas Park, FL, grandchildren; Alex Williams, Heather Guldin, Cody Williams, Allie Williams, Dakota Schuler, Abigail Williams and Wyatt Farley. Beverly was preceded in death in July 2012, by her husband of 37 years, Clif Bishop, her father; Richard Wesley Williams, brothers; Richard Wesley Williams, Jr., Donald Earl Williams and Donald Keith Williams. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 2-3 pm at Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia, Florida. Service time is 3:00 pm at the funeral home followed by burial at Joshua Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to April White, 5735 NW Pine Bridge Dr., Arcadia, FL 34266.
