Beverly Jean Mundell, 84, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia, Florida. Beverly was born in Kansas City, where she grew up and graduated High School in 1945. She met James R. Mundell while in college at the University of Kansas in Lawrence Kansas. After marrying, they moved to Arcadia. She worked with James in the families accounting business for over 45 years. She loved to laugh while sharing time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, and was an avid fisherman and gardener. These were some of the many passions that she has passed onto her children. She is survived by her three children, Michael (Anne) Mundell of Springfield, Virginia, Gary (Cathi) Mundell of Arcadia, Florida, and Kathy (Garry) Mundell-Lane; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James R Mundell in 2002. Her parents Van D. and Hazel Hamilton Thompson and a brother Larry Thompson. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23 at 10:30AM at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jim Wade presiding. Internment will follow beside her husband in the family plot at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, Florida.
