Benjamin Franklin Benny Russ, age 28, of Myakka City, Fl. passed away March 11, 2010 in Myakka City. Benny was born in Arcadia, Fl. October 7, 1981 and spent most of his life in and around Arcadia. Benny loved fishing, hunting, and hanging out with his family and friends listening to loud music. Benny worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction until his health began to fail him. He was of the protestant faith. Benny is survived by his father; Marvin K. Russ, Marvin s companion and Benny s caregiver, Theresa Reed, Myakka City, his mother ; Roswitha E. Russ, WY., a daughter; Mistie Nichole Russ, Clearwater, Fl., three sisters; Casandra McClelland, Sarasota, Fl. , Mary (Timothy) Russ Gregory, Myakka City, FL., and Patricia Russ, Ada OK. He also leaves his maternal grandmother; Ottile (Richard) Russ, Myakka City, Fl. and several nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Myakka City Family Worship Center, Myakka City, Fl. with burial in the Old Mikka Cemetery, Myakka City, FL.
