Aurelia M. Torres passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026. She was born in Beeville, Texas, on April 8, 1945, to Ismael Martinez and Olivia Carrizales. She had lived in the community for 44 years.

She was a home maker and a member of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.

Aurelia loved her family and doing the lotto scratch off. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ismael Martinez and Olivia Carrizales, brother Adam Martinez and sister Olivia Martinez, both of Beeville, Texas. Also, her son Jessie Martinez and daughter Debra Torres.

She is survived by her husband Jose L. Torres, Sr., sons; Jose L (Darlene) Torres, Jr. and Adam (Amanda) Torres of Wauchula, FL. Also, her daughters; Nancy Butler and Aurelia Lozano both of Wauchula. FL. There are also 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews that will miss her.

The Visitation will be, Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. The Service will be from 11:00AM – 12:00PM, with Pastor William Cooper officiating at the Chapel of Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home at 205 N. 9th Avenue, Wauchula, FL 33873. Burial will follow at the Wauchula City Cemetery.
