Audrey Benda of Arcadia, Florida formerly of Auburn, NY, was born on November 25, 1934 in Wood Hull, NY, and passed away on January 30, 2026 – the same day her beloved husband George went to be with the Lord.

Audrey was preceded in death by her sister Iva Bankart; brothers Raymond, Glenn, Menard, Norman, and Lynn Herrington., and her sister-in-law, Cheryl Benda.

She is survived by her sisters-in-laws, Patty and Robin Herrington, Geraldine Sincerbeaux, and Barbara Quigley; Her brother-in-law, Ronald Benda; and many nieces and nephews.

George and Audrey shared a life full of love and joy. Their home on Owasco Lake was a gathering place for family and friends – filled with swimming, boating, water skiing, laughter, and Audrey's homemade baked treats. She loved crocheting gifts for others and shared George's passions for bowling and golf. Later in life, they moved to Florida embracing retirement with enthusiasm. Many remember them riding through the community on their golf cart, and Audrey waving as she pedaled her three wheeled bike. Losing them both on the same day is a profound loss, but their love and shared life will remain forever in our hearts.

A "Celebration of Life" event honoring George and Audrey Benda will be held at the DeSoto Village clubhouse in Arcadia, Florida, on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM. DeSoto Village is located at 4810 NW Highway 72, Arcadia, FL 34266.
