Arie L. Graham, age 83, final sunset was Friday, March 26, 2010 in Sarasota, FL. Her first sunrise was February 3, 1927 in Union Springs, AL and moved to Arcadia sixty years ago from Wauchula, FL. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Arie was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. During her time of work she was a cook for several medical facilities, she also would prepare wonderful meals for her church, family and friends. Arie enjoyed gardening and growing fruit. She is survived by three daughters; Ruby J. James of Bronx, NY, Barbara J. (Jim) Silvera and Dorothy E. Brady both of Arcadia, FL.; one son; Larry J. (Cassie) Graham of Bradenton, FL.; three brothers; Charlie Frank Lee of Zolpho Springs, FL., Arthur Lee of Rochester, NY and Rev. Joe (Sarah) Lee of Limestone, FL., six sisters; Ola Lee of Arcadia, FL., Ida Mae Jones of Port Charlotte, FL., Eula Kilpatrick of Ocala, FL., Inez Moore, Marjorie (Robert) Harrison and Mary Lee (Jarris) Moseley all of Arcadia, FL., fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Arie was preceded in death by her husband; Woodrow Wilson Graham, parents; Jim and Ellawese Barnes, two sons; Joe Harrison and Thomas Carson Graham, one brother Silas Lee and sister, Sarah Jackson. A visitation will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:00PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church; 14 Alabama Ave., Arcadia with Rev. Leuray Norris officiating.
