Arabella Turner
Coker
October 19, 1941 – December 14, 2025
Arabella Turner Coker (Lucky) passed away peacefully December 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She left behind a legacy of faith, love, grace, southern ways and joyful devotion to her family. She was a godly woman whose life reflected her deep commitment to the Lord and to those she served so faithfully. She was born in Arcadia Florida to Coleda and Joe Turner on October 19, 1941. The youngest of 3 children she was raised in the Bunker community with a host of family and friends. She graduated from DeSoto County High school and was married at 17 years old to Dale G Coker on July 4th, 1959.
For many years, she poured her heart into teaching Sunday school. She loved singing praises to our Lord in the choir. She had a true heart for missions and cared deeply about sharing Jesus's love near and far. Her faith was not only spoken but lived out daily through her actions, generosity, and compassion. She enjoyed working and took pride in all she did. She worked many years at Sun Trust Bank and then with her daughter and son-in-law at Joshua Citrus, Inc.
She found great joy in God's creation and loved being outdoors. Whether working in her yard, traveling to new places, or simply enjoying fresh air, she embraced life with gratitude to Jesus and enthusiasm. Always up for anything, she approached each day with a spirit of adventure and joy.
Her family was her greatest treasure. She adored her children and grandchildren and made it her mission to create lasting memories—often taking the grandchildren on fun outings and special adventures that they will cherish forever. Her laughter, warmth, and presence filled every room she entered.
To all who knew her, she left a lasting impression. She was the embodiment of the Proverbs 31 woman—strong, faithful, kind, and full of love. Her life was a beautiful testimony of service, faith, and selfless love.
She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy lives on in the faith she shared, the love she gave, and the lives she touched.
Preceded in death by her parents Joe M Turner, Sr. and Coleda Turner, her sister Dorothy (Dottie) Watson, her brother Joe M. (Buddy) Turner, Jr.
She survived by her loving husband of 66 years Dale G. Coker. Her children, Susanne (Randy) Bengston, Lynn (Kevin) Shelfer, and Matthew (Suzi) Coker. Her grandchildren, Shelby Goode, Olivia Meador, Caleb Shelfer, Garrett Coker, Madelynn Coker, and Jenna Coker and 6 great grandchildren.
