Alma Patricia Villafuerte, age 30, passed away on Monday, June 09, 2008. She was born March 27, 1978 in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mex and move to Arcadia, FL in 1986. Alma graduated from DeSoto High School in 1996 and earned a Business & Marketing Degree at Warner Southern College in May of 2004. She worked for the Department of Children and Families for many years; a career she enjoyed because of her ability to advocate for the underrepresented. Even after her diagnosis, Alma continued to enjoy life as much as possible. She leaves behind her parents Hilario & Consuelo Villafuerte; seven sisters, Rosa (Angel) Zamudio, Betriz (Antonio) Ramirez, Guillermina Villafuerte, Lupe (Hector) Munoz, Maria Dolores (Rosario) Munoz, Juana (Carlos) Ramirez, and Rocio (Oscar) Barajas; three brothers Martin (Ylda) Villafuerte, Rigoberto (Elizabeth) Villafuerte, and Joaquin (Adriana) Villafuerte, who will cherish her forever. Visitation will be 6-8PM, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N Hillsborough Ave in Arcadia. Services will be 10am, June 14, 2008 at Saint Paul s Catholic Church.
