Obituary

Alma Viola Brown of Wauchula, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022.  She was born on Wauchula on May 17, 1923, she was 99 years old. As a lifelong resident of Hardee County she was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and fishing.  She was a waitress and a Homemaker as well as being a very loving person she was granny to everyone.

She is survived by her children Barbara (David) Bishop of Wauchula, Linda Carlton and the late Roy Carlton of Lakeland, and Wayne (Patty) Harrison of Bartow, Florida.

Her grandchildren include Kim and French Maynard, Bubba and Holly Smith, Tiffany and Josh Strickland, Eric and Kaelyn Harrison, Karen Carlton and Scott Cubera, Herbert and Amy Carlton, Lynn Ward, Teresa and Jeff Zern, and Jeanette and Fred Moylen, David & Laurie Bishop, and Dee & Christian Rochon.

She had eighteen great grandchildren, thirteen great, great grandchildren and three great, great, great grandchildren.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Good Sheppard Hospice.

There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00AM at the Wauchula City Cemetery with Reverend Robert Hansill officiating. Burial to follow after the service.
