Allen W. Farabee, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Arcadia, FL. He was born March 16, 1921 in Arcadia, and was a lifetime resident. Allen was a man of the Lord and a member of the Arcadia Church of God. Allen was in the concrete masonry business for many years. He also owned and operated a cattle ranch located off of SR 31. When he wasn t working, Allen enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Jessie V. Farabee of Punta Gorda, FL, one daughter, Phyllis Judy Hitchcock of Bonita Springs, FL., four grandchildren, Rusty Daughtry, Randy Williams, Greg Hitchcock and Tony Hitchcock, and eleven great-grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Alvie L. Farabee , two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the Arcadia Church of God, 1423 NE Oak St., Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00PM with Rev.
