Allan Joseph Burtscher, age 76, passed away on August 19, 2023, in Arcadia, FL.  Allan was born on February 25, 1947, to the late Joe Keller Burtscher and Dorothy L. Rape Burtscher.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Allan was a lifelong resident of Arcadia, graduating from DeSoto County High School as a member of the Class of 1966.  He enjoyed a career as a poultry, beef and citrus grower and was active in multiple organizations during his son's school years.  He was a member of Arcadia Elks Lodge #1524, where he was a past Exalted Ruler, as well as a member of the Arcadia Lions Club.  Allan enjoyed saltwater fishing, boating and observing nature, especially deer and turkeys.

Allan is preceded in death by his parents, his infant brother Karl, and his sister Florence Burtscher Thomas.

He is survived by his loving companion Vickie Miller of Arcadia, FL; two sons, Brian Burtscher and Brad Burtscher (Debbie), both of Arcadia, FL: three grandchildren, Lacie Hershberger (Tony), Jared Hart and Abrianna Burtscher, all of Arcadia, FL: four great-grandchildren, Kiersten Klossner, Alaina Klossner, Gracelynne Jones and Jared "Jay" Hart, all of Arcadia, FL: one brother John Burtscher (JoAnn), one sister Joanna Hewett (Ernie), one brother-in-law Thomas Mooney (Jane) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be September 9, 2023, at 10am at the Arcadia Elks Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allan's honor, to the Elks National Foundation via Arcadia Elks Lodge #1524, 1028 W. Oak Street, Arcadia, FL 34266.
