Alice Elene Salas (went by Elene)
Alice Elene Salas passed away surrounded by family and friends on Sunday August 3, 2025. She was born January 13,1964 and was a lifelong resident of Hardee County, and she graduated from Hardee Senior High School in 1983. Elene worked alongside her father within their family businesses, Florida Fence Post Co., Inc. and F. L. Revell, Jr. Ranch and Grove in Ona, and she later took over the operations.
Elene was an all-star athlete. She played volleyball, basketball, softball, and was a member of the Sanford Ice Storm Inaugural Professional Woman's Baseball Team. She also coached and played on the winning Church League Softball Team for FUMC.
Elene grew up in the First United Methodist Church of Wauchula, where she remained an active member throughout her adult life.
Elene enjoyed freshwater fishing at her family ranch on Horse Creek, and saltwater fishing in Lemon Bay. Elene loved to hunt at Brushy and took pride in maintaining the family ranch where she became the bulldozer Queen, we all know and love. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Brushy Hunt Camp or Horse Creek Camphouse. She looked forward to the family's yearly trips to Englewood, Fl., where extended family and friends were always welcome to visit.
Her Family will remember her as a devoted follower of Christ, a loving wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend to all.
Elene is survived by her loyal husband of 43 years, Antonio Salas, son Tony Legrande Salas, daughter Jamie Lea Rivas (Ruben E. Rivas), grandchildren Reese Anthony Rivas, Rolland James Rivas, and Rebecca Jane Rivas, mother Oneita C. Revell, and sister Deborah G. Revell all of Wauchula. Nieces Crystal (Kevin) Barron of Plant City, Lacey (Dusty) Rymanowicz and nephew Steven Revell of Wauchula. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Virginia Ybarra (Daniel) of Texas, Helen Gaona (Fermin) of Zolfo Springs, Susie Perez of Zolfo Springs, and Nancy Coronado, Sr. (Juan) of Wauchula and brothers-in-law Eliseo Salas, Jr. (Olivia) of Zolfo Springs, Thomas Salas (Barbara) of Arcadia, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Elene was preceded in death by her father F. L. (Fairel Legrand) Revell, Jr., sister Gwenna Lea Revell, both of her in-laws Eliseo Salas, Narzedalia Maldonado Salas and brother-in-law Francisco Salas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Methodist Church of Wauchula and The Hardee Athletic Foundation
Private Graveside services for family will be Friday, August 8, 2025, at 9:30, Wauchula City Cemetery.
Family and Friends visitation will be Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00am at the First United Methodist Church in Wauchula.
