Obituary

Born, Alice Louise Langford in Arcadia on July 29, 1917 to parents Henry Preston Langford Sr. and Beulah Ingraham Langford , she enjoyed an adventurous childhood in Limestone with a large family that included seven siblings. She was homemaker most of her life, but worked at Carlstrom Field as an office clerk during World War II. Before moving back to Arcadia in 1973, she worked and lived on the Wright Ranch at Bermont, raising her family and helping to hold together the ranch that her children would inherit. She was a Christian woman that possessed true character and grit while extending a gentle kindness to each person that she encountered. Her greatest joy was her family; her legacies are her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She encouraged all to follow their dreams and to become individuals of integrity. A resilient, southern lady, she lived her life by the Golden Rule, encouraged hard work and strong morals, practical values, and common courtesy. She applied her special brand of grace and charm to everyday simplicities. She is survived by her son Julian Lee Wright (Cindy), daughter Sandra Wright Welles (WG. Kayo Welles IV.) Grandchildren: Amy Welles Anderson of Okolona Mississippi, Tara Welles Jones (Ronnie), Leslie Welles-Hale (Justin) of Arcadia, Julian Lee Wright II (Danielle), Whitney Lynn Wright, Chance Ladd Wright of Punta Gorda. Great-grandchildren; James Granville Anderson Ill (Kathryn), William Gaylord Welles Anderson, Lara Katelyn Anderson of Mississippi, Sage Ashton Bevis, Alexis Cole Stinson, Berkleigh Paige Hale, Chancey Jae Wright, and William Remington Jones.
