Albert "Al" Funari, age 71, passed away at Tidewell Hospice House in Arcadia, FL on April 4, 2022.

He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, PA in 1968. He was a Systems Engineer and worked for MaBell, which later became AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Albert joined the Marine Corps in 1969 and served until 1973.

He retired in 1999, bought a Motor Home and traveled with his wife Val until 2014. That was when they settled in Arcadia. He was a member of the Moose Ledge, as well as the Elks Lodge. Albert loved traveling, motorcycles, and dancing to "the oldies" He was a stand-up guy, a nice guy and a good man.

He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie, his sister Sandi Miller, his nephew Michael Landis and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, father Nazzareno Funari, Mother Mary Ellen Archer Funari, both of his sons, and one cousin.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice House in Arcadia, FL. No services are planned at this time.
