Alan Keith Simpson, lovingly known as Keith, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A lifelong resident of Hardee County, Keith spent 66 years in the community he called home and was a proud graduate of Hardee Senior High School, Class of 1977.Keith dedicated 41 years of service to CF Industries and Mosaic before retiring.
He was a hardworking provider, a devoted husband, father, pops, and friend whose life was marked by faith, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Among his greatest accomplishments were building two homes for his family and creating a legacy of love, hard work, and integrity that will continue for generations.
A faithful member of Bayside Community Church, Keith lived as a Christ-centered man whose faith guided every aspect of his life. His family remembers him as the perfect role model—steady, loving, and deeply devoted to God and his family. His smile, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor will never be forgotten. Keith found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time with family, especially family game nights. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, cattle farming, and grilling. He was known far and wide for making what many considered the best barbecue sauce in town, affectionately known as “Simp Sauce.
” Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 41½ years, Bonnie Simpson; his children, Travis and Jessica Simpson of Bowling Green, Florida, and Allison and Vince Grimsley of Wauchula, Florida; and his cherished grandchildren, Maddox Layne Simpson and Autumn Jade Simpson. He is also survived by his mom Ruby Powell and stepdad Claude Powell and sisters, Yvonne and Danny Hensley, and Karen and Sam Albritton, along with ten nieces and nephews and their families.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, M.L. Simpson. Though his presence will be deeply missed, Keith’s legacy of faith, love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to what it means to love God, love family, and serve others well.
