Aaron H. Chaney, 65, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008. He was born February 24, 1943 in Sebring, Fla., however moved to Bradenton as a young child. Aaron was a graduate of Manatee High School and worked as a carpenter in construction during his life. He was of the Church of God Faith. He loved to air boat, go fishing and hunting and enjoyed time in the outdoors with nature. He is survived by his wife, Donna C.(Clough) Chaney of Bradenton; sons, David D. (Linda) Chaney of Virgina Beach, Va., and Stephen E. (Bethany) Chaney of Bradenton; daughters, Deanna C. Chaney and Daphine L.(Dennis Wilson) Lang both of Bradenton; his mother, Elizabeth A. Chaney of Key Largo, Fla.; brothers, John E. (Lucille) Chaney of Bradenton and Lonnie E. (Ann) Chaney of Key Largo, Fla.; sister, Bobbie L. Rimes of Troy, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Chaney. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia, Fla. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at Congregation of Jesus Cristo (formally Venus Church of God) in Venus, Fla. Rev. Charles Watts will officiate.
